From a Stockholm garage to global movement
In 2020, our founders Elin & Mateo — two engineers obsessed with cycling and climate action — realized that most e-bikes were either boring or built unsustainably. They quit their jobs and started tinkering in a tiny workshop in Södermalm. The first Globenexa prototype was welded from recycled aluminum and powered by a hand‑wound motor. Word spread fast.
Today, Globenexa has grown into a collective of designers, riders, and activists. We partner with European suppliers, use vegan/eco materials, and every bike is assembled in our low‑impact facility in Västerås. We're not just building e-bikes — we're building a community that values clean air, quiet streets, and timeless design.
